Returns Policy

What is your in-store Returns Policy?
We're constantly checking Government updates and directives, so if a town, region or city-wide lockdown impacts your ability to return your item, don't worry! Our 30 day returns policy remains, but we won't count the days that our store and/or post offices are closed.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return your item(s) within 30 days of dispatching your order, if you meet the below return conditions.*
- It was not purchased on sale at markdown prices
- In its original condition
- Unworn, unmarked and unwashed
- In the original packaging or box
- Not defective as a result of misuse
- Tags still attached
In-store returns

For any purchases made in-store, you have 30 days from the date on the receipt to either return or exchange your item.

Disclaimer:

All items purchased on sale, are final and are not available to be refunded or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing fault determined. This does not apply to items where a discount code or gift card is used during checkout.

All product purchased for the use of a photo-shoot may not be returned under any circumstances.

All items marked or described as Jordan style Nike products and Yeezy style Adidas products are non-refundable or available for exchange unless there is a manufacturing fault determined.

The majority of our shoes are limited release, and we only have a certain amount available.

What is your In-store Faulty Assessment process?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases, so if you feel your item may be faulty you're welcome to head back in-store and ask to speak to a Manager.

We have empowered both our Store & Assistant Managers to use their own discretion about your purchase.*

If you the customer, deem a purchase to be a manufacturing fault, the manager can offer one of the below
- exchange for the same item
- exchange for a different size
- a full refund (depending on the payment method)
- disagree that there is a genuine manufacturing fault and therefore not process the return.

*If an item has been misused or worn in a manner contrary to its purpose, the item will be classified as ‘general wear and tear’. Forms of misuse may include but are not limited to cuts, heat or burns, exposure to chemicals or harsh elements, contact with gravel/bitumen while using motorized vehicles, skateboarding, machine washing and any alterations (eg. shoe repair).

*If your item has been deemed faulty, we ask that you ensure your item is either destroyed or disposed of. Accent Group and its related entities cannot accept liability for any further loss or damage suffered if the shoes continue to be worn.

Returns & Exchanges

I've changed my mind - can I return or exchange my items?
We want you to be 100% happy with your items, so if you change your mind we'll happily accept a return within 30 days of purchase. Double-check that your items meet our Returns Policy and the three main requirements:
- It was not purchased on sale at markdown prices
- In its original condition
- Unworn, unmarked and unwashed
- In the original packaging or box
- Not defective as a result of misuse
- Tags still attached

How do I return an item?

Can I return or exchange an item I bought more than 30 days ago?

We're happy to accept change of mind returns within 30 days of receipt where the item is in new, unworn, unwashed and otherwise undamaged condition with tags attached and in their original packaging.

Please refer to our Returns Policy to see the full details, however, if your item was purchased more than 30 days ago, SUBTYPE cannot offer a refund.

I want to return or exchange my item but I didn't buy it from a Subtype store?
If your item was purchased from a third-party retailer and not directly from us, you will need to return to the retailer and have it assessed by them. Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate exchanges or refunds from our end for other retailer purchases.

Once the place of purchase has assessed your item(s) they will be able to advise the next steps!

Can I return a sale item?
